Socialism’s Success.

Say NO to socialism, Greeks!

Say NO to socialism, Greeks!

It’s rather interesting to see the amount of socialist propaganda in Greece.  I believe that they are the majority party right now, or damn close.

The Panhellenic Socialist Movement, better known as PASOK is a Greek social democratic political party. In the 1980s, the PASOK was the first socialist government in Greece since the start of the Cold War, and ruled Greece for most of the 1980s and ’90s. PASOK lost office at the March 7, 2004, Greek elections.

You cannot avoid the signs located all around the city in Heraklion.  It’s quite interesting to see that the party is actually suceeding in spreading its “wisdom.”  There are signs on every street corner and pictures of PASOK’s leader looking very authoritarian.  While Greece’s politics are very interesting, they are also very scary.  Greeks already pay almost 50% of what they earn on taxes and receive completely free education.

  1. Not exactly what I’d call “success.” Socialism “succeeds” like a thief “succeeds” when he runs off with an old woman’s purse.
